21 players of Tallinn Open WTA 250 main ranking revealed.

The names of 21 participants in the main ranking of the tennis tournament Tallinn Open WTA 250 have been determined – Anette Kontaveit and Kaia Kanepi will compete with 19 tennis players included in the top hundred of the live WTA ranking. 

The Tallinn Open WTA 250 tournament will feature Swiss Olympic winner Belinda Bencic (WTA 13), Brazilian No. 1 Beatriz Haddad Maia (WTA 15), Latvian No. 1Jelena Ostapenko (WTA 16) who won the French Open WTA and Madison Keys from the United States (WTA 20), who played in the final of the US Open in 2017.

In addition, the winners in singles and doubles Barbora Krejcikova (WTA 23) and Tereza Martincova (WTA 71) from the Czech Republic, the winner of the Wimbledon tournament Jelena Rõbakina(WTA 25) from Kazakhstan and Jil Teichmann (WTA 30) from Switzerland.

Shelby Rogers (WTA 31), Bernarda Pera (WTA 45) and Ann Li (WTA 66) will take part in the tournament from the USA.Zhang Shuai (WTA 36) from China, Alison Van Uytvanck (WTA 43) from Belgium, Ajla Tomljanovic (WTA 46) from Australia, Anhelina Kalinina (WTA 47) and Marta Kostyuk (WTA 65) from Ukraine will also play in Tallinn along with Clara Tauson (WTA 57) from Denmark, Laura Siegemund (WTA 57) from Germany, Diane Parry (WTA 74) from France. 

Four more players in addition to the already known 21 will be allowed to join the Wild Card passes, and six will get to the tournament after passing the qualification. One player will be able to take part in the tournament thanks to a so-called special exempt. A total of 32 female tennis players will take part in the Tallinn Open WTA 250 tournament.

“Looking at the list of players, one can only rejoice at how amazingly high is the level of athletes who will take part in the WTA tournament, held for the first time in Estonia. Among the participants there is an Olympic champion and Grand Slam winners in both singles and doubles,” said Allar Hint, director of the Tallinn Open WTA 250 tournament. “The Tallinn Open tournament will give fans of this sport an exceptional opportunity to see our tennis stars and other titled tennis players on the court.” 

The international tournament WTA 250 Tallinn Open will be held from 24.09-02.10.22 at the Forus Tennis Centre in Tondi.

Qualifying matches will take place from 24.09 to 25.09.2022. The main round matches will be held from 26.09 to 2.10.2022:

  • you can buy tickets for the morning sessions on 26.09-29.09.2022;
  • on 30.09-1.10 quarter- and semi-finals will be held – tickets can be purchased for both morning and evening sessions;
  • on 2.10 the final of the tournament will take place.

In the Piletitasku environment, you can purchase tournament spectator passes, regular and VIP tickets (which also provide access to the tournament lounge).
