A ball kid is very fast and tireless, they know the rules of the tennis game and know how to count points. It is such enthusiastic children who become ball kids for the Tallinn Open WTA 250 tournament!
In order to be ready for the tournament, the organiser of the Tallinn Open, the Estonian Tennis Association, organized a summer school for ballkids and conducted training sessions in three cities: Tallinn, Tartu and Pärnu. The fun, playful and sporty training sessions lasted approximately 2-3 hours and consisted of a practical instruction lesson, in addition to food and drink breaks and fun rest breaks. More than 100 young tennis players indicated their desire to participate.
We will see the performance of the ballkids at the Tallinn Open, which will take place from 24.09 – 02.10.2022 at Forus Sports Center in Tondi.
In Tallinn:
- Ballkid training has already ended. There were 80 participants.
In Pärnu:
- Ballkid training has already ended. Participated 40 kids.
In Tartu:
- Ballkid training has already ended. Participated 30 kids.
Participating in the ballkids training gives you the opportunity to be selected and participate as a ballkid in the international WTA 250 Tallinn Open tournament. In addition to the nice get-togethers, the kids also receive a special gift bag containing a shirt specially designed for WTA ball kids and other nice souvenirs. The Estonian Tennis Association will bear the expenses related to being a ballkid at the Tallinn Open tournament for children living outside of Tallinn.
We are looking for children from the age of 10 who are able to count points. Participation in Ball Children’s School is FREE.
